Tenant voice and housing quality stage - Open to all
Following the publication of the final report of the Grenfell Inquiry, the government has committed to a Remediation Acceleration Plan and to bring forward a “long-term social housing remediation strategy”.   This session will seek to clarify the deadlines for identifying and remediating all high-risk buildings and the penalties for non-compliance. What are the issues contributing to remediation delays and how will they be resolved?    What funding arrangements will be put in place to enable this? And what protections will be put in place to ensure residents are not left financially burdened?    You will also have the opportunity to hear from leading housing providers about their approach to building safety compliance and cladding remediation.
