The development dilemma: How can housing associations build again with confidence?

Knowledge - Open to all
Last year the number of affordable housing starts in England fell by 39%, with London experiencing a dramatic 88% drop. How housing associations gain the confidence to develop at scale will be key to turning this around. But they must also contend with changing regulations, challenging market dynamics, and tightening financial constraints. This session will provide a candid discussion on what must change in how affordable homes are developed, valued, monitored, regenerated and managed. It will explore how the identification of development opportunities and management of risk require a more granular, data-driven understanding in the context of evolving market trends.
