Pet-friendly housing: the case for change

24 Jun 2025
The fringe festival stage - Open to all
Explore how allowing pets in social housing could improve tenants’ emotional and mental well-being. Despite the benefits, social housing tenants are excluded from the Renters’ Rights Bill, which would give them the right to request a pet. This session will examine successful case studies, discuss why housing providers restrict pets, and explore the concerns and potential solutions to make pet-friendly housing a reality.
