The Fringe Festival Stage - open to all
Programme description Veterans can face distinct housing and mental health challenges when transitioning to civilian life, including trauma, relationship breakdown, debt and delayed help-seeking. This session explores how the sector can prevent veteran homelessness and sustain tenancies through trauma-informed practice, veteran-aware services and better join-up between councils, housing associations, health and employment support. A short lived-experience opener will set the context, followed by a panel spanning national policy, local delivery and specialist support. Speakers will share practical pathways, what Op FORTITUDE is changing on the ground, and the “wraparound” models that combine homes, work and wellbeing to build long-term stability.
