Alan has worked for over 30 years in the housing sector for both Local Authorities and Registered Providers, with the last 20 years working at a senior level. During his career Alan has managed and led many different teams including, neighbourhood services, community safety, caretaking, grounds maintenance, commercial facilities management, Income/Financial Inclusion, Independent Living, Community Development/ Resident Engagement, Support & Wellbeing, Mobile Cleaning Teams, Allocations & Housing Options and most recently leading Housing and Environmental Services (Homes and Bins) for West Lancashire Council. Alan's passion is working to deliver a great customer experience and communities/places that colleagues and customers are proud to live and work in. This was evidenced following the recent announcement that West Lancashire achieved a C1 rating against the Consumer Standards from the Housing Regulator. Alan has also spent time working as a school governor and supporting charitable organisations.
