GMCA
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is the driving force behind Greater Manchester’s ambition to create a thriving city region where everyone can live a good life. Led by the Mayor and guided by the Greater Manchester Strategy, it brings together ten councils and key partners, working collaboratively to reimagine how public services are designed and delivered. It’s known for its pioneering place-based approach to a range of policy areas, including public transport, economic development, and technical education.
The GMCA theatre at Housing 2026 will showcase its work to achieve the city-region’s vision of a Healthy Home for All – from its UK-first Good Landlord Charter and property check scheme to its plan to deliver tens of thousands of new homes across the city region, including affordable, energy efficient housing and homes for social rent.
