Rointe has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing the company among the top 15% of businesses

EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading sustainability assessment platforms, evaluating companies across key ESG areas including environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Its medals recognise companies that have completed the EcoVadis sustainability assessment and demonstrated a robust management system compared with other assessed organisations worldwide.

For Rointe, this recognition represents an important milestone in its long-term sustainability strategy and reinforces the company’s commitment to responsible manufacturing, energy efficiency and transparent ESG performance.

As a manufacturer of electric heating and climate solutions, Rointe’s sustainability approach is built around a clear principle: developing efficient electric systems that support the transition towards lower-carbon homes and buildings. The company’s ESG strategy includes renewable energy use in its operations, carbon footprint measurement, circular product design, responsible packaging and continuous investment in technologies that reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

In 2024, Rointe generated 120,010 kWh of solar energy, avoided more than 31 tonnes of CO₂ and operated with 100% green electricity. The company also reports its corporate carbon footprint for Scopes 1 and 2, with a stated objective of achieving an accumulated 11% emissions reduction by 2027.

Sustainability is also integrated at product level. Rointe highlights long product life cycles, high recyclability, easy dismantling, 100% recycled aluminium bodies and 100% recyclable FSC®-certified packaging as part of its circular design approach.

The EcoVadis Silver Medal strengthens Rointe’s position as a company committed not only to efficient electric heating technology, but also to measurable, transparent and responsible business practices.

“Receiving the EcoVadis Silver Medal is an important recognition of the work we are doing across the whole company,” said José Guillermo Dengra, Development Director. “It reflects our commitment to improving the way we design, manufacture and operate, while continuing to develop electric heating and climate solutions aligned with a more sustainable future.”

Rointe’s ESG roadmap continues to focus on carbon reduction, greater renewable energy autonomy, smarter energy optimisation, sustainable product development and measurable ESG performance. The company has also been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2023 and integrates its 10 principles into its governance framework.
